Mission Statement: We strive to provide superior performing arts education through our varied ciriculum, classes, teachers, staff, recitals, theatre productions etc. as the essence of our studio. We hope that our students will find a comforable home base in which to learn, gain self confidence, master techniques, gain knowledge and experience, acquire poise, self-discipline and respect for themselves, others and their craft. And we believe that everyone has something unique to bring to the world that can be sculpted, developed, honed and refined into a work of art. It is our goal to achieve this.
Meet the StaffShe is a member of DEA, SAG, AFTRA, EQUITY , Marianne’s lifelong passion for dance began since she was in 1st grade, and she’s been dancing ever since. She studied dance in NYC intensively in the late 70’s with Broadway Jazz masters Luigi, Phil Black and Frank Hatchett. She studied ballet with some of New Yorks finest teachers, Peff Modelski, Kathryn Sullivan, Nancy Bielski & NYCB’s Melissa Hayden. She has worked in NY & NJ in musicals & community theatre, as well as music videos, shows and performance groups for over 20 years. She began her career as an actress, at the age of 16, with a character part on All My Children. Then, worked in NY as a print and Showroom model. After establishing herself in a few Soap Opera episodes, she was asked to join AFTRA, (American Federation of TV & Radio Artists), and landed a few parts on Saturday Night Live . Once she began working as a union actress, she joined SAG, (Screen Actors Guild), and continued to get work in film . Her extensive resume includes such films as The Lemon Sisters ( with Diane Keaton & Reuben Blades), Dream Street, Sea of Love (with Al Pacino & Ellen Barkin), The Butchers Wife ( with Julia Roberts), Loser, The Last Action Hero ,(Arnold Schwarzenneger), Hanging out with the Homeboys, White Palace with Susan Sarandon), Andre’s Mother, (directed by Ron Howard) The Days & Nights of Molly Dodd, Bullet (with Mickey Rourke), Miracle on 34th St. & numerous Woody Allen Projects. She has done extra, stand-in, body-double and character parts. Since leaving NYC, she has established herself as a teacher & choreographer in dance and fitness. She piloted dance music videos for such techno bands as Batz w/o Flesh, & ska band The Bouncing Soles. She has choreographed & performed solo dance pieces for NJ County College of Morris, The Russ Sherry Comedy Review, & MTV’s Lip Sync, as well as numerous dance & fashion shows. Her teaching credits include Kings Court Fitness Center, Mary Lou Hale’s School of Dance, Barbara Bronson’s School of Dance, Accent on Dance and Dance Depot. Marianne now operates On Broadway Dance, Music & Theatrical Studio, which was opened in 2001, and is growing every year. Ruth Hadley - Vocal Coach: She’s been singing since she could speak. During her school years, she was involved in regular and madrigal chorus, senior sing and many solo performances. After High School she enjoyed volunteering her time in coaching special needs children and adults over an eight-year period. She has twelve years experience singing professionally as lead singer in two bands. Terra Firma featured original material, classic rock & blues. Her other band performed oldies, classic rock & popular standards. Ruth completed ten years of private and professional training. She trained with master vocal coach Lori Blois of Montville, NJ. Included in her repertoire were two years of vocal pedagogy also in Montville. She then taught privately in Morris County, NJ for two years. She has been teaching voice in our area for six years and has been a professional member of The Voice Foundation as well. Several of her students have had success as solo performers and as members of elite choral groups. Her teaching philosophy is, “to hear the voice develop is rewarding for both student and teacher.” Brenda Buckner - Irish Step Dance: We would like to welcome Brenda Buckner to our Staff as the new Irish Step Dance Teacher. She comes from a family of Champion Irish Dancers. Her dancing partners included Donald Golden who currently runs his own studio in NYC. Another of her partners was Billy McCumisky who is a well-known Irish Musician. She has competed and won many Irish Dance competitions and championships. As a teenager, she went to Ireland to compete in the World Championships. The Irwin School senior dance group appeared on Good Morning America, and Journey to Adventure. She curtailed her career due to a serious back injury. She is looking forward to a great upcoming year! Sharon Epps - Lyrical, Tambourine, Banner & Flag Dance: She had a long lived passion for dance since she was a little girl of 5, living in Sarasota, Florida. She began her dance career in high school with the drill team and cheerleading. Presently, Sharon is an ordained Minister at the Tabernacle of Faith here in Dingmans Ferry, PA. Sharon has taught lyrical dance as well as tambourine, banner and twirling flags dance for the last seven years. She continues her training under the direction of Shachah Ministers International. Her goal is to teach students to play the tambourine, dance and use streamers or flags with skill and grace, and to bring joy to each student through this creative art. Stefania Sorace Smith: She has been dancing since she could walk. She began dancing on a serious level around twelve where she participated in many competitions like “Stars of Tomorrow” and “Headlines” where she received many gold and silver medals in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and musical theatre. She has taken many acting and dancing classes and was even under the tutelage of Miss Marianne herself in high school. She has choreographed musicals for Rutgers University and The College of St. Elizabeth. She has been on TV specials including Sesame Street’s Bob McGrath and Port Jervis local television station. Her passion for dance exceeds all other things and is very happy to be joining the “On Broadway” family. Caitlan Vill: Caitlan Vill is a student at Kutztown University and a 2007 graduate of Delaware Valley High School. She has cheered, tumbled and danced for over seven years. Caitlan was captain of her High School Varsity squad her junior year. She was also selected as a cast member of the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007Capital One Bowl's All American Half Time Show in Orlando, Florida. She has helped coach and choreograph half-time routines for the Delaware Football League youth program for a number of years. Currently, Caitlan holds a standard level National Cheerleading Judges Certification from Cheer Ltd.
